All-Female PADI IDC
Spain July 2024
Guided by PADI Platinum Course Director Kerrie Eade
As an advocate for gender equality in PADI Professional level training, Kerrie is running the world's first all-female PADI Instructor Development Course this summer, followed by a bespoke all-female PADI Instructor Exam on PADI Women's Dive Day.
Why an all-female Course?
There is a huge gender imbalance among diving professionals, 80% male and just 20% female. Kerrie views this as a great opportunity to get more women into this rewarding career, which in turn will inspire and attract more women into diving across all levels. She understands that some women would prefer to train in a uniquely female environment, removing some of the other potential stressors. She will work with you 1:1 to support your development and growth in confidence so you can turn the statistics into a major competitive advantage.
What's Involved in an IDC?
Complete your self-study via eLearning from the comfort of your own home, but with easy access to Kerrie for help and guidance, via a dedicated Whatsapp group. During the IDC you will actively participate in classroom-based workshops to hone your instructional skills, curriculum presentations to deepen your understanding, written papers to demonstrate your dive theory and PADI standards knowledge base and dry presentations of in-water skills to ensure you're truly comfortable and confident in their delivery before heading underwater and getting loads more practice of skills and presentations.
