The PADI Discover Scuba Diver program is a beginner scuba experience for people who have never dived before. You will learn basic scuba skills with a PADI professional and experience breathing underwater in a safe, controlled environment.
All training for the Discover Scuba Diver program at Ocean Turtle is conducted in a swimming pool. This allows you to learn and practice skills in calm, shallow, and controlled conditions before going into open water in the future.
No experience is required. This program is designed especially for first-time divers.
Participants must be at least 10 years old. Anyone under 18 must have parent or guardian consent. If you are aged 8-9 years old you can complete the Seal Team Program.
You should feel comfortable in the water and be able to swim a short distance, but you do not need to be an expert swimmer.
Yes. Training in a pool provides a safe and controlled environment. You will be closely supervised by a certified PADI instructor at all times.
The experience usually takes 2 hours, including:
• Briefing and equipment introduction
• Basic scuba skills practice in the pool
• Supervised underwater experience 1 Hour in water
No. Discover Scuba Diver is not a certification course. It is an introduction to scuba diving.
If you enjoy it, you can continue with the PADI Open Water Diver course.
Yes. All participants must complete a medical questionnaire. Some conditions may require a doctor’s approval. Click here to find out more
