Scapa Flow 2010
By
popular demand we are returning
to the site of the First World
War German High
Seas Fleet in Scapa Flow.
Departing
on August 21st 2010 this should be a fabulous week, in the Orkney
Islands, diving the remains of
the First World War German High
Seas Fleet.
After the armistice
seventy four
ships were ordered into Scapa
Flow to be interned.
In June 1919, when the main part
of the British Fleet left the
flow for exercises, Rear Admiral
von Reuter ordered the German
fleet to be scuttled.
Most have
been salvaged but seven wrecks
remain, alongside HMS Royal Oak
and other, more modern sinkings.
We will fly from Heathrow to Kirkwall, then transfer to
Stromness, where we have booked
all the accommodation in a local
hotel.

Diving will be from the MV Sharon Rose,
a converted trawler, which is an
ideal dive boat.
The cost of
the trip, including flights, is
£750 payable in
instalments or only £515 if you
arrange your own travel to a
from Kirkwall.
£350 deposit on
booking,
the remainder by the
end of May 2010.
Book now to avoid
disappointment as there are only
6 places left and these will
undoubtedly will go
quickly.
