How much does membership cost?

Club Membership is only £30 per year per member.

Is there a social/non-diving membership fee.

No. Generally all club social events are open to all club members and their family.

What gear do I need?

We encourage members to have their own dive gear and to keep it well maintained. However, you can hire most major equipment items, at specially reduced club rates, from Ocean Turtle Diving if you don't yet have your own. For UK diving in particular it is advisable to carry additional safety equipment such as a torch, and an SMB and reel, useful for drift dives and increasing visibility on the surface.

Can I help out?

Yes please. The committee are volunteers working in their spare time to ensure the smooth running of the club. In addition to general committee responsibilities, regular dive trips need to be organised. Any assistance with trips would be greatly appreciated particularly if you are familiar with a particular dive site. Any ideas for future trips or future social events are greatly received and can be forwarded to the committee.

I am not very experienced but want to dive.

We all have to start somewhere. One of the aims of the club is to allow newly qualified divers and those divers with limited UK dive experience to improve their confidence in UK waters by diving along side more experienced club members. The committee has significant UK dive experience as well as drawing on the expertise of other club members. If you are on a trip and would like to be escorted by a more experienced diver, just ask and I'm sure we can help out.

I do not have the necessary training to participate on all dives.

The club aims to cater for all levels of diver. However there will be more challenging dives organised which are only suitable for divers with a certain amount of experience and training. With regard to specific training (e.g. Drysuit, Deep, Nitrox etc.) this can be arranged through Ocean Turtle Diving by contacting either Alan or Jaime at the Ocean Turtle Dive Centre
